Dizengoff Center is Israel’s first shopping mall, but more importantly, it is an outstanding architectural landmark designed by Yitzhak Yashar and Aliza Toledo. It was built between 1972-1983, but the first store at the mall opened in 1977.
It is a leisure, shopping, and entertainment destination, with plenty to see and do for all ages. It has a swimming pool and two gyms for patrons who enjoy fitness activities. There are playgrounds for the little ones, and a movie theatre screening international blockbusters.
It holds a food fair every Thursday and Friday, featuring speciality dishes inspired by the cuisines of the world, Persian, Moroccan, Asian, Iraqi, Tunisian, and Mediterranean. Vegans and people with special dietary needs will find plant-based and gluten-free dishes too.
There are also fun parties every Friday, and a Healthy Living fair offering visitors massages, reflexology, and shiatsu.
When it comes to shopping, don’t miss the boutique designers who have exclusive shops at the Dizengoff Center – Maya Chen, Beky Brock, Rotem Sabag Gil, and others.
It’s a pet-friendly shopping destination and a sustainable business, with several urban sustainability projects, including gardening and beekeeping.
